  Fun fact about Vic&apos;s trick: in the previous episode Escape the Greenroom, Sam performed a trick for the 3 contestants and forced them all to pick the 6 of diamonds. The pin that Vic sold as merch earlier in this episode referenced Sam from that episode with the 6 of diamonds in the background. So Sam probably would have known immediately upon drawing the 6 of diamonds that he was being had, and Vic intentionally threw it in his face and smashed his podium for good measure.

  Really smart of Jacob choosing a trick that works well for recording, being able to cut back to each of the quotes. Its harder to land that live since people arent likely to remember all those side comments

  FYI, Jacob&apos;s comment about &quot;mere tricks&quot; wasn&apos;t a dig at Lou and Vic. In a BTS video, they show that he performed at least one other card-based trick before doing his mentalist shtick, but it was cut for time.

  Lou’s magicians assistant is credited as Kasmira Buchanan, and it looks like she’s a dancer with experience working in magic.

  According to the behind the scenes they released yesterday, Jacob actually went to a mentalist and learned A LOT and studied for hours. They cut out a lot of stuff for the sake of time, but it&apos;s really interesting to see the things we didn&apos;t get in the final cut.

  Lou&apos;s performance was an IMPECCABLE (and obviously deliberate) riff on the feeling of a magic show you&apos;d watch at a mandatory middle school assembly. Very Piff-y in spirit.

  Holy shit, I didn&apos;t notice about Jake&apos;s trick until just now - he says Sam likes to give &quot;Gifts&quot;, that he&apos;s a &quot;Generous&quot; person... the Magic: The Gathering card &quot;Generous Gift&quot; destroys a permanent and gives the player an Elephant creature in return...IT WAS ALL PART OF IT

  I feel like this really shows something Penn and Teller talk about, that often the MAGIC isn&apos;t really about whether you know how the trick was done, it&apos;s whether the performance has that FEEL of magic. None of these are hard to figure out, but they work because each of them did a great performance of the trick!
