I own a cattle station in SW Qld. Here's the things which I use every day for myself and to help visitors :
Jump starter
Speedy Seal Kit from ARB - I use split rims so it's no help to me.
First Aid kit - Custom. Commercial first aid kits are full of profit makers. Bottle of Betadine.
Radio comms
Air compressor - ARB - The first thing which someone needs. It is the most essential primary thing you need.
Tool box inc fencing pliers and WD40
Water - mostly to replenish the windscreen wipers.
Pinch bars, various.
A wooden poker stick. For things which are out of reach
Metabo work light
Metabo power tools inc Rattle gun for changing tyres which I stake regularly.
Hi Lift Jack
3 spare tyres
Chainsaw and fuel
Spare D shackles and a strap
3 witches hats
Roll of pink tape
Compass - For aligning things, not for navigation
Nikko pen, pens and paper.
Rain coat
Steel ruler
Matches
Binoculars
Multiple ratchet straps - You never have too many
Rope, string and fencing wire

All the stuff people buy which is a waste of money is incredible. People buy too much stuff.

The YouTube algorithm brought your video to me today. My wife and I just received our one year visa to Australia. We don’t want to tow so we’re looking for a camper van or small motor home. We plan on doing some house and pet sitting in our travels, so we don’t want anything that will complicate parking.I noticed that when you mentioned the addition of the carbon monoxide detector that you have it mounted up high near a window. Carbon monoxide is heavier than air, so that detector should be mounted low near the floor to give you the earliest warning possible.

That is one of the best, no BS, no time wasting, or product promotion presentations I've seen. Love the presenter and his fine videographer. Legend. Respect!

Sadly, animal strikes occur at any time of the day. I have had three major strikes, 2 x Kangaroos and 1 x Cow 🐄 and all were mid afternoon and if it wasn't for my Bullbar and side rails I would have been in serious trouble 😢

Decent tail lights you can see from a distance ,not the cheapest like they put on your van .

Was pleasantly surprised at how down to earth and practical your advice was. And the ease with which you presented it! That you covered items you (in hindsight sometimes) might NOT need was just as helpful as the items you said you WILL need. Props to you both for helping this guy at least who intends to check out more of this great land down under in the coming years and could use all the help he can get! Happy and safe travels!

Mmm. I live just outside Canberra. We average about one kangaroo strike a week in daylight hrs. Just the other day I was stationery at a junction and a roo smashed into our car, breaking rear window and door.
