Happy subscriber here, Jack. My observation is, that tendons generally have a one-to-four ratio to muscle in adaptation, and you're performing in an impressive new direction and enthusiastically maxing your efforts to obtain results that elite athletes invest years to achieve. I think you know the rest... Any injury is likely to be a game-changer. You gotta stay healthy that way.

Here's some insights about skills, mainly planche that I learned:
- Frequency is key, rather train 2-3 sets everyday than 6+ sets every 2-3 days
- You need both attempts and volume: build volume -> attempt -> build volume cycle. Attempts are very intense but not below 2-3 sec they are the progression after the progression you build volume in.
- Form can be compromised intelligently to build volume but main activations are very important (never do bent arm planche, and use protraction) line and hips can be degraded, those are the most intelligent things to degrade. Be mindfull of your grip, external rotation and protraction.
- Negatives and presses are OP, get on them asap.
- Only holds is not the best, rather do hold to press, it's infinitely better.
- Bands are dogwater, most people don't know how to use them, you shouldn't be using bands for any progression below full, it should always be light bands and used in specific cases when you are more advanced (I can expand on this) planche requires intensity.
-Planche leans pushups/tuck planche pushups offer a good fondation.
Good luck

The rings spoiled me! Instead of pushing myself further, now I have to remind myself to stop and rest.

Yup the biggest issue is how long you need to take your breaks between each hold

One MAJOR component of planche training that your style of training (which is great btw) doesn't encompass is TUT (time under tension) to train the nervous system for better coordination to perform the skill almost as if it were like walking. Look up French calisthenics athletes and their training to see just how different their training philosophy it is from US style calisthenics training.

Edit: looking at your tuck planche attempt, it looks like compression work might improve it for you!
You can also try pseudo planche while pushing/protracting against a band across your low back.
