  I&apos;m glad that he survived all that unscathed and lived to tell about it. I was 16 years old, from Transylvania, visiting my sister in Bucharest at the time and found myself in the middle of it all. I even saw Ceausescu flying away in his helicopter from the roof of the HQ of the communist party building which was was right next to the hotel I was staying. Three years later, my sister and I joined my aunt in south Florida where we started a new life. Crazy but three years later, I was partying in South Beach Miami and driving my first car

  I’m very proud to say the cameraman at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbj4Vqs_Wf0&amp;t=842">14:02</a> is my granddad, Paul Douglas, who was also sadly taken from us during the Iraq war. ❤.

  Quality old school reporting. I feel for the soldier in the firing squad. He did what he had to do and he knew it was needed. But he carries it with him. A compassionate man.

  His footage is one of my favourites, it captured real side of urban warfare, you can&apos;t really see where exactly the enemies are, but you know they&apos;re in there, and they can hide in civilian disguise as well, absolute madness, just like in Iraq

  as a romanian born in 84, I was 6 years old when all of this was happening, but I can still remember the convoy of tanks rolling down the highway from my hometown of Pitesti going to Bucharest, the political prison Pitesti was a &quot;reeducation camp&quot; where they tortured people into submision to the regime, thank you for covering this topic.<br><br>As a sidenote I am deeply sympathetic to the persian people and what is happening now in Iran, I pray the persians get their country back and prosper, much love to you brave people of Iran standing up to the dictator.
