  When I was leaving my Baptist church and attending the Orthodox parish I am at now, my former pastor gave me Joshua Schooping&apos;s book &quot;Disillusioned&quot; and urgently pleaded I read it promising me it had great arguments against Orthodoxy. I read it and was deeply unimpressed. I was shocked that a former Orthodox priest had such a low understanding of the faith. They were catechism level objections any real priest can answer. I knew my former pastor was not making an honest attempt to understand Orthodoxy by immediately learning about the faith from an apostate, and I was disappointed bc I expected more from him. Looking into Schooping&apos;s background clearly shows that he is trying to make money selling his book and ease the ecclesial anxiety that Protestants are having in relation to Orthodoxy these days.

  Shoopings betrayal of his vows as a priest in light of his doubts while in seminary is extraordinarily troublesome. He should have never been ordained and should have dropped out and put things on hold.

  No convert to orthodoxy should become a priest until after being a member for at least 7 years I think.

  Congratulations to Joshua Schooping. He’s the first guy in 2000 years to debunk the Orthodox Church. We are coming apart at the seams. He is smarter than 2000 years of Christianity guys. Wow. Incredible. What a time to be alive to have somebody in our generation with this much intelligence.

  I’ve officially united myself into Christ today and was baptized, Chrismated, and took the mystical Eucharist! <br>Everything you apologists have spoken about and debated on, has officially clicked in my mind after the Blood and Body of Christ!<br><br>God bless you all for the work you’ve done and the different Priests you’ve interviewed.

  This is really sad and terrifying honestly. Keep him in prayers, and pray our Bishops are far more rigorous about our process of reception.

  I used to be Lutheran. They do hold to PSA. It was explicitly preached by a visiting LCMS pastor in good standing at a Good Friday service. Glory be to God that I am now Orthodox.
