US arms sales to Taiwan...To make Taiwan militarily stronger to defend itself should China invade. This is the biggest joke. Question to ask is would all these weapons can really push back China? Just look into details of what type of weapons US is currently selling to Taiwan. Of course US has some of the most advance weapons in the world like the F35, long range missiles, submarines etc. But would US sell them to Taiwan? The main reason US is selling arms to Taiwan is US sees Taiwan as a cash cow. Do you people know that money paid by Taiwan in full since 10 years ago for the promised weapons has not even been delivered. And to all the warmongers anti China hawks, do you people seriously think China will sent its navy and army to invade Taiwan like Russia did on Ukraine? China look at US and all its wars over the last 100 years, the current Ukraine and Iran wars and come into one conclusion. War is expensive with no return. Are you naive enough to think China has no other alternative plans to subdue Taiwan and bring it down to its knees? What about economic? Taiwan export almost 50% of its products to China. Taiwan electronic sectors is heavily dependent on China intermittent products never mind whether they are manufactured in China by Taiwanese companies or by Chinese owned companies. Can China just announce a sea and air blockage on Taiwan? What will the impact be? And dont talk about international pressures or counter punitive actions. If China decides to do just that, it would have factored all these. So my 1 cent take on the greatest benefit on the President Trump and President Xi is : They are now communicating and therefore some forms of agreed guardrails will be put in place. These guardrails may or may not be available to the public. This is most important to prevent accidental fires which will lead to greater wars. Trades, sanction, tariff, chips, Taiwan are all actually minor issues. So give credit where credit is due.

On the American side, there’s no truce. The United States continues adding Chinese companies to its sanctions list even after previous agreements were made. That’s why China no longer feels obligated to follow those agreements. Western media rarely mention this, but I’m sure Chinese officials have made it clear to their U.S. counterparts that it is the United States that has broken its commitments first. As a result, many around the world now believe the United States is no longer a reliable partner, and cannot be trusted.

Great discussion, but let's focus on 3 things: 1 World Peace, 2 Work Together 3 Stop with Winning/Loosing, instead Cooperation!!

With 8+ billion people in this globe, we are much more better off if we set our mind to what is possible instead of fighting with each other. Thank you!

Any truce with the U.S. is fragile. Ask Canada and Europe.

😂 I couldn’t help but laughing out loud hearing Kevin Rudd comments on the rare earth retaliation. Really? China won the trade war that Trump initiated and that’s why Trump was at the air force base to pick up Xi himself — it’s Trump begging for help so hard and guess what, without rare earth, US can’t continue to supply the military, and how many proxy wars the US has right now? Do you think there’ll be a situation when China “holds it for too long and started losing”? 😂

All these people are not sincere, especially Kevin Rudd and Wendy. They talked about China not fulfilling commitments while never talked about US commitments, sounding like US don't need to commit anything! They talked about China not removing rare earth control while never talked about US needs to remove semi controls first. The host never pushed hard questions either. Not a sincere discussion! Never gonna work
