A tiny home came in handy for one man who lived in Paradise, CA. A few years ago, fire destroyed this beautiful mountain community nestled in a pine forest. One young man, though, had a tiny home on wheels (THOW), and as the fire moved closer to the community, he simply hooked up his THOW and hauled it out. It took a few days of preparation to find a place to take it to ( a friend's driveway until he found another tiny home community) He was the only person in that community who didn't lose his home.

We love our convection microwave oven. We too decided not to go with a conventional oven /stove top because of the room it takes in our tiny house. I can cook a turkey ,a roast, bake cookies and have made the most incredible cakes in our oven, wouldn’t go back to a full-size oven again… And I see the cat rules the house ha ha that’s what they’re supposed to do.

Nice that the architect quoted the true space as 270 sq. ft. with the walls built inside. Most say 320 which is the outside footprint. We foam the outside to get a true 300 sq. ft. inside which is very comfortable for an individual. It would be nice to know the cost to add the very useful four feet; we added a second container for cheap with a passthrough door and left most of the wall between to reduce cost. Also like the two 20's with fill in between, almost a dogtrot design from the past. Nice work by everyone really

At 16:15 - I think that a bedroom door is so important... It's good to keep kitchen smells out with when I'm cooking... Also at night it helps to make the bedroom more cozy.

Thanks for the video! We stayed at a container home while on vacation in St Croix a few years ago. We loved it since it was so hot outside. We stayed cool and loved the aesthetic our owners used to make us feel at home.

I love my container home! And would definitely do it again as I purchased it finished, and dream of how I'd design and build one myself.
