It then took until my 30s to realize that regulating other people&apos;s emotions is NOT my responsibility. I still struggle with hypervigilance due to CPTSD.<br><br>Edit: &quot;When you&apos;re your mother&apos;s age&quot; Once I reached my mother&apos;s age, it made all of the abuse WORSE. Because I was the age she was when I was born (32), and I CANNOT COMPREHEND hating a defenseless child so much. My mother used to say she &quot;did her best,&quot; but now that I&apos;m in my 30s, her &quot;best&quot; HORRIFIES me. Growing up, I made excuses because I didn&apos;t know what a healthy adult looked like, but now I know that she was a MONSTER.

  The thing a lot of these estranged parent accounts are commonly doing these days (including her) is using AI to write these scripts they’re reading. Even WORSE than just reading them.
