The phrase "More pancake for me" lives rent-free in my head to this day. 😂

7:30 due to how dense their fur is, giving a chinchilla a bath in water so their fur is fully wet would actually kill them. Dust baths are how they clean themselves in nature and as pets.

I love the Cuckoo chick so much. Everything with the design is perfect down to the accent. (Also iirc the two become friends in a later short)

I love how many reactors stop for the toilet.

Yeah, that's what's concerning here. The kiss on the toilet.

14:44 Fun Fact: Koalas refusing to treat leaves not on the branch as edible is actually smart behaviour; outside of seasonal changes, the other reason trees shed leaves is to get rid of toxins (concentrating poisons in a dying branch or leaf that’s about to break away from the tree) and Eucalyptus leaves are already dangerously poisonous to many animals, and tend to get even more toxic as they decay.

Leaves that are still attached to the branch are fresh and haven’t contaminated with other substances, so Koalas are willing to eat it for the same reason that we’re willing to eat something that we know for a fact hasn’t been lying on the floor for several hours.

Also: Koalas only eat leaves from around 6 of the 32+ known species of eucalyptus trees, and despite their smooth brains, can flawlessly tell the difference between the species they eat and the species they don’t.

ok just to be more specific if I remember correctly it's only the north American porcupine that has quills that have barbs and the African ones don't.

You absolutely need to look up a chinchilla dust bath. It's so cute.
