  Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 3 and Knuckles were all life-changing experiences. I can say that these three games brought joy to my teen years that were otherwise mired in angst and anger.

  When I was a kid I didn't know the Sonic 3 and Knuckles story, so after seeing and playing Sonic 3 and never getting around to the combo til years later, i though Sonic & Knuckles was a sequel of sorts. Games and sequels before internet was always fascinating to try to figure out as kids.

  This is one of the Sonic games i played via Sonic Mega Collection Plus on PS2. And i never got the courage to finish it.<br>Those special stages made me quite dizzy.<br>But it was good anyway.

  I got this game packed in with my Genesis way back in Christmas of 1996! I remember watching for hours as my mom conquered this game, just as she did with Super Mario 3 five years earlier! One of the neatest things with this game, was the lock-on technology cartridge! I thought it was so neat to hook up Sonic 2 with it, to play as Knuckles! Plus there were a few other games I had, that would have some neat features when connected to the cartridge. Ah the memories! 1990&apos;s, please take this 35 year old man back to his childhood!
