Im a college student in Viet Nam, before knowing about my ADHD, I’ve always got stucked all my life. I always want to understand myself. You know that, in my country, there is a few people knowing exactly about ADHD. I fortunately found a therapist who saw this personality inside of me.  Now I have your free video. There are no words could describe my appreciation for you. All the best to you. ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Dr Barkley is somehow "darkly inspiring" to me, a person with severe/classic ADHD, in that he's so matter-of-factly grim in his assessment of ADHD as a real, pervasive  and powerful disability that his presentations and interviews always help me to re-focus or shift my perspective in a sobering way that helps me to really address my disability and how it effects my life and the lives of those around me (in practical ways). And maybe I watch or listen to him when I know that I am in need of that sobering kick of reality, like, "hey, you have a real disability and unless you modify your points of performance every single day you are going to flounder", which - along with the positive aspect of " You're a bright person who has come a long way, even or especially while having this challenge" - is something I often need to hear/think.

This lecture on ADHD is undoubtedly the most crystal-clear, informative, and beneficial one I've come across. I firmly believe that gaining a deep understanding of the issue is crucial to finding solutions, and this professor flawlessly elucidated the fundamental principles underlying this condition. Thanks to his exceptional explanation, I now grasp all the implications involved. I'm truly inspired to dive into Professor Barkley's book, "Taking Charge of Adult ADHD". Thank you so much for generously sharing your expertise!

Your lectures really work for me. The pace is right, when many others would speak so quickly that I wouldn&apos;t be able to process. You don&apos;t have frequent edits, loud sounds / music, or flashy visuals to overstimulate the senses and distract from the message. You don&apos;t repeat as often as most. The information is pithy, worthwhile, and evidence-based. Your delivery is just matter-of-fact and that works well with how my mind works. <b>chef&apos;s kiss</b>

I greatly appreciate this video, I&apos;m 32 and slipped through the cracks in life from a young age. Its taken awhile to pick up the pieces and learn to live a productive life. The shame, humiliation and verbal abuse that ensued through childhood completely distorted how I perceive myself and others. I describe it as viewing life through a fun house mirror. As a kid I would often have the thought that conscious life is actually worse than a nightmare, because you can wake up from a nightmare. This information is greatly helping me put everything back together and understand that are many others like me that are afflicted by this.<br>Sincerely, Thank you.

Thank you so much Dr Barkley for this information. I really worry that the majority of content online these days regarding ADHD is influencing practitioners in the wrong direction. <br><br>Your work is so, so valuable and thank you for doing it past retirement 👏🏻

Very interesting talk. The prefrontal cortex ( headquarters of executive function skills) tends to slow down or shutdown with too much stress or lack of refreshing sleep. <br>Poor sleep not only reduces prefrontal cortex performance but it also makes the amygdala more stress reactive.

It&apos;s good to be aware of all of these attributes. I have all of this my whole life and I feel relived to know there&apos;s an explanation to this constant struggle
