In western Canada I grew up on a farm without in house water or toilet. That's not all that unusual. About Dolly"s timeline. In the early 1960's. Then we did get all the amenities. School was a one room one. Didn't think my childhood was unusual as all the neighbours had the same

I live on the other side of Dolly’s mountain in NC on the the Tennessee line. I grew up on a farm and wouldn’t trade our lives for anything! God bless the America, I love. We were all blessed to know Jesus and right from wrong. I wish everyone could know this life!

There is nothing negative anymore can say negative about Ms. Dollie Parton.. Anywho, growing up in a farm, it’s so common to grow up like that on a farm. It’s not surprising during that time. Farm life to this day is still hard. This is nothing new. I recall my big sister making me a dress when I was about 8 yrs old. I loved that dress until I grew out of it. Mom was a housewife and my father lost his job at the railroad. I’m the baby of 10 children, we had very little, a lot of love.. pulse what ever came down the pipeline!!
