2 things
1. I didn't realize when I filmed this that its publication would align with the Sephora sale. I don't typically make content around the Sephora sale because I feel like it's not really a "savings event" but actually a "spending event." Of course you can save a little bit if you buy something that you were literally ABOUT to buy anyway. But in my experience one often ends up overspending instead. That's why I've become a sale-ignorer, but this time I ignored it so hard that I accidentally filmed a makeup review roundup concurrently with it LOL

2. the milk makeup skin tint...I loved it when I first tried it, and afterwards I started to feel like the wet look of it made my skin look textured (pores, etc) and when I filmed this video I was pretty lukewarm about it. Then I started mixing it directly with green color corrector, which makes it a better match for my skin and also mattifies it a little bit. Now I love it again. I think it's probably spectacular for young skin, and if you have mature skin or lots of texture, proceed with caution and plan to try mixing. It is a special formula but not 1-and-done for everyone.

I’ve been noticing your gorgeous jewlery acquisitions in the last year or so. Would love a collection tour, talk through of accessorizing

I recently watched a review of the Merit lip liner where the reviewer pointed out how little product there was, and it reminded me of you talking about how the Merit brow pencils runs out quickly and wondering how much product came in that as well - WELL I am now here to reveal there is .02 grams (yes .02 not .2) in the merit brow pencil and, for reference, the mini benefit precisely my brow pencil is .04g, and the full size is .08g. It’s not just running out quickly because it’s a gel, it’s running out quickly because there is practically no product inside!!!!

For reference too with the lip liner btw that has .3 grams of product whereas some comps of classic sharpened pencils are makeup forever, hourglass and Charlotte Tilbury (1.2g) Glossier (5g), but even other twist ups like Kosas (.5g) Rare (.4) and refy lip sculpt (.32) are all larger too.

It cracked me up that you said this was a good video to fall asleep to because I constantly watch your old reckonings for this🤣

I’ve been watching since 2020 and I still appreciate your closing line every time. No matter my situation, I always love that reminder ❤

I'm about as fair as you are except with neutral undertones, and it's been really helpful to hear your POV on different products and techniques! You 'influenced' me on the Phytosurgence bronzer, and it's my new fave, especially for my palest months (aka 9 months of the year here in Canada). It's so subtle and natural looking, but so flattering. I'm excited to try other things by them over time, especially being a Canadian brand. Just wanted to share my appreciation!

I'm not a huge makeup wearer. The Lisa Eldridge skin tint was the first product ever that has reached "holy grail" status and has done what I considered impossible and turned me into a daily makeup wearer. Yes, it really is that good.

You should do a full face of brackish makeup hehe. That was the most apropos word for that color family I’ve ever heard! I love it.

PLEASE put the Phytosurgence grey blush on for us just straight! I badly want to know what it looks like, but I don’t think I would use it much as a mix in, so I don’t want to buy it myself. I know you’ll look all kinds of dead but inquiring minds want to know just how! What nuances of death warmed over will it have? Vampiric or merely cadaverous?

Real talk, I have hated every product I’ve purchased from Viollete. Years ago I got a red lipstick. A smeary mess. Than I got a liquid eyeshadow in a metallic magenta. It was alright, but absolutely reeked of vanilla. Then I got the darker, wine red lipstick. Amazing color…dried out my lips like it was made of kerosene. Than finally, the cobalt eye paint. The color is what I have always been searching for. Contact dermatitis, mama. Burned the shit out of my eyelids. I’m OUT

The whole video I was distracted by your makeup look and your necklace! I feel like I have to rewatch it now to hear what you actually said 😆

I admire the aesthetic you have both curated and grown into. I subscribed right at the end of your no-buy year and while watching this video I could not help but think how pleased and proud past you would be to see where you are now, and the beautiful curation of products you possess. Cheers Hannah! You have been a light in my life and I am so happy for you.
