As a Australian. Malaysia is the only country i can see myself visiting I visited in 2025 and ill be back in July 2027 for 6 weeks to celebrate my 50th birthday

I agree with feeling safe at night as a female when visiting KL. Unfortunately I’ve felt unsafe in some cities in Australia at night but I’ve definitely never felt unsafe in my past 3 visits over 2 years in KL.

To Scott & Maddie : There are many foreign workers in Kuala Lumpur, it is best to ask them if they are locals or foreigners so not to be scammed, or be misguided when you want information etc, or your might think they are locals and you might get wrong idea about the local Malaysians. A group of males by the roadside might also be foreign workers in KL, as we have many foreign workers in big cities in Malaysia.
