I just ended a long battle with stage 4 lung cancer. I kicked its ass. This song is spot on about the battle. Tom has so much talent it's crazy. If anybody reading this is now fighting cancer, please stay positive. Your attitude is so important.

Love ya Sp00ky.❤

The last verse gets me every time:

You won't know how to be brave 'til you choose to fight when you're afraid
And you can't experience strength 'til you struggle to carry the weight
And you won't know why you have faith 'til you look the Devil in his face
And you don't know what you can take 'til you realize you didn't break

As someone who lost a brother and a niece to cancer in the last 7 years this song always gets to me. My niece left behind 2 small children and so yes I get what you are saying, Tom has a way of making the emotions pour out of you. Thank you for continuing down the rabbit hole!!

Tom speaks so much in every song! I cannot say enough how he makes us all feel every emotion possible with his words 💗 He's one of the most relatable people in the music industry. #HOGFamily

My mom passed away a year ago from cancer, a few months before she passed she heard me listening to this song. days later I came home and she was in her room with this song on blast. we sat together and just listened and cried. I will always be thankful for Tom for giving me that moment.
