  BOC are just impeccable in their delivery. There is a haunting, comforting nostalgia or deja vu-esque feeling and sound that they just exude. <br><br>I love the beauty they create.

  Great stuff, these guys! &nbsp;I first got on to them off of an Ambient channel on the old AOL radio, circa 2005. I&apos;ve been very pleased to find some of their material surfacing as &quot;bumper music&quot; on Adult Swim. It&apos;s not a genre for all, but I hope more people discover their talent

  Today I realized that I hadn&apos;t listened to boards for about 8 months when this showed up in the list. &nbsp;i clicked on it and it&apos;s like putting on an old favourite comfy sweater you found in the back of your closet. &nbsp;these guys (along with Autechre and RDJ) will forever be my electronic faves.

  El nombre de Canadá proviene de un malentendido por los primeros misionarios europeos durante la época de conquistadores. Kanata es una palabra indígena, en Iroquoi de Saint-Lawrence, la cual significa aldea o grupo de chozas. Este nombre fue anotado en un mapa por primera vez por en 1535. Y si, el nombre de Canadá le cae bien a ese país, es como si fuera &nbsp;un país pueblo.

  I lost my father a month or so ago due to a long-lasting battle against Diabetes. During the funeral, I managed to contain myself from crying (don&apos;t ask me why, I&apos;m not keen on these kinds of events). The cemetery itself was located outside the city, in the countryside, next to the Pacific Ocean in Latin America. When we returned home with my family, I took the copilot seat right next to the van driver, completely isolated from my other relatives, just alone with myself (and the driver who really didn&apos;t care at all) and my earplugs. If it wasn’t the most confusing yet saddest moment of my life, the trip lasted about two hours, and I spent it listening to Boards of Canada’s Best Of album on repeat. Just picture this:<br><br>5PM. Clear blue sky. Vehicle&apos;s moving through barren yet awesome landscapes in Lima, Peru. One of the most beautiful and long-lasting sunsets I’ve ever witnessed is unfolding right in front of my eyes. Seagulls flying nearby. Surrounded by huge Peruvian desert cliffs/mountains between a long precipice and the Pacific Ocean. My head is on the car window. Crying in the most absolute painful silence. Power lines are on sight in an infinite loop along the road. Clouds create the most dramatic scenery on the coast while sunbathing in peace, trying not to be heard. Deciding to meditate or not about my loss. Picturing everything positive my dad gave me during his life, while leaving him behind in his grave, as we move 56mph. Again: it was moving, rare, and deep-down confusing.<br><br>The song playing during that moment was Dayvan Cowboy. <br>And then Olson. <br><br>...And then &apos;Heard from Telegraph Lines&apos; on repeat for like 40 minutes and so on, which worsened my mood and depression that day, lol. <br><br>It was the HARDEST/MOST MOVING listen to BOC I&apos;ve ever had. <br>Like: *ever*.<br><br>I used to make fun of people who romanticize creating &apos;soundtrack-kind-of-experience&apos; moments, but I fully regret that now. I truly do. Go listen to what moves you. Crying is good. Creating your own mental music scenery is good. Be grateful, do good: Be the friend you’d want by your side. Hug your friends and family and tell them you love them. Please do. We don&apos;t really have that much time here on earth tho. I still battle against my dad&apos;s loss somehow. Loneliness exists. Depression is a bitch, but friends and family DO take an important role. And please: eat well, move, and love yourself.
