Canadian here. Alberta separatism is not worth discussing... It's not supported enough. And even if it was the process is decades long.

To be clear, "sizeable" support for separatism in Alberta is roughly 20% & 30% in Quebec. Also: Danielle isn't calling a bluff. She's appealing to her base. It's also not a referendum about whether to separate. It's a farcical referendum on whether to have a referendum. dogwhistles.

Albertan here. Our Premier, Danielle Smith, is losing on all fronts and will soon be out of office, with her UCP government in tatters. Trump is not cracking Canada; he is accelerating the end of Alberta as a one-party state and uniting the country.
