One of the biggest faults with that new german focus tree is giving the Bismarck class the 1936 Scharnhost hull...while the tech tree has the Bismarck hull as 1940 design.

I think Plan Z should be less restrictive on the actual type of ship you build. What I have in mind is some amount of naval dominance from light ships, some amount from heavy ships and like 300 or so flight deck space so that you can decide whether you're going to do that with 4 Bismarcks or 37 Panzerschiffs.

So a funny thing you can do withe Germany's naval focuses (and any other nation's) is that when it says "Creates [NAME] ship variant based on X", you can actually fully design your own ship, and then name the class whatever name the focus will create a variant for. If you do that, when the focus finishes, it applies that production line to the ship you designed. So you shave off months of dockyard out put on the Bismarck class, Graf Zeppelin, and Hindenburg/H-class ships in the focuses but have them actually be really good. You just have to make sure you design the ship on the right hull, so Bismarck needs to be a 1936 ship, Hindenburg a 1939, but Zepplin can be either a deck conversion, 1936, or 1939 carrier.
