  Maria, please don't feel sorry or worse or uneasy because of your choice not to watch the news! I decided to stop doing that about 15 years ago, then I started again in 2020 because of the pandemic and within weeks it had driven me into extreme anxiety disorder and later almost depression. Now I haven't been watching or reading any news at all for 2 years and honestly I never want to start again. Never ever. This is a valid choice we all have the right to do and I feel so deeply for you in that! Thank you for sharing!

  As a forensic psychologist I wholeheartedly agree with not consuming the news if it upsets you. If everyone could start with implementing positive change into their own little circle of impact, it would make a world of difference

  Thank you so much for saying what you said about OCD and avoiding using it to mean overly organized or another similar thing. It bothers me so so much how much we’ve normalized saying “oh I’m OCD” just to say you’re a control freak. They are NOT the same. OCD is a very serious and debilitating disorder.

  Whenever someone is leaving to go anywhere, I tell them I love them and to be safe every time. In my head I imagine putting a safety bubble around the person.

  I’m so glad it’s not only me who feels the love “beams” thing. I do the same with my fiancé, I try to do it too when I speak about him to others, I speak so highly of him almost as if he will hear them and hope he feels that energy. I love to project my love for my friends and family in their presence and in their absence!

  Maria, I am a psych student who is currently at the point where I’m doing some research. Your textural  preferences remind me a lot of my self. I remember back in a very old video of yours too you talked about how you feel people who are more “creative” tend to only really understand asmr. I am neurodivergent and textural symptoms are common with neurodivergence. I would love to run a correlational study at some point between asmr and neurodivergence since I feel it really affects people like this in particular.

I’m clinically diagnosed, and I don’t personally bristle much at people using the term figuratively or casually, but the way you acknowledged others’ experiences while sharing your own—it really touched me.   People don’t understand that OCD is a genuine disorder that’s based on anxiety and guilt. It has nothing to do with enjoying cleaning. Those of us who have compulsive cleaning as a symptom, we clean because we’re SUFFERING mentally, not because we enjoy it. And it usually has nothing to do with there being a mess — we clean compulsively because there is an awful intrusive thought in our head (for example my daughter will die from poisoning if I touch the fridge handle without washing my skin with bleach). It’s a nightmare. I hate when people say “I’m so OCD.” I appreciate you being respectful 💜

  I hope you never stop making videos like these ❤ Your chatting videos are my favorite thing on Youtube. The love waves concept is so interesting and reminds me of similar experiences/ sensations I was aware of as a kid, but wrote off over time as being just my imagination. After watching this I&apos;m going to try to tune back into that part of myself! Thank you for sharing.
