For the dead father one:<br>Yes this is illegal. If no beneficiaries are listed in an account then the assets are dealt with by an appointed executor. Everything must be distributed a certain way. One person can’t go in and take all the money if they’re not designated to it, it’s illegal.

the main issue of the girl taking the money from her deceased father’s account like that is that it skips over the father’s will if they had one. Imagine he left it all to other family members, and NOT the one willing to commit identity theft…
