Are you the one who stepped back, or are you the one still trying to understand why someone you love has grown distant?

Going through life we lose our own identity constantly being available for everybody as we grow older we get to know ourselves a lot better

People praised me for always being considerate, but no one noticed how tired I was from carrying everyone else's emotional weight.

This explains so much. Highly capable people are often 'rewarded' with more work until they burn out. They leave quietly because they realize their energy is being extracted rather than invested in. A powerful reminder to value talent before it walks out the door.

I always have been a loner, a lone wolf. However when i was younger until recently i have become more reclusive. I crave my peace, quiet and solitude. No drama and chaos that most live in. I guess i have entered this phase mentioned in this video. I love these topics covered in these videos. Even though i am an older guy in my late 40,s. When i see the guy in these videos always wearing a hoodie i say thats me to the letter. Thats all i wear everyday with the hood up living in peace and quiet. Great videos please keep them coming.

I met with my best friend's where we hadn't seen each other for 15 years and they made a comment and said what has happened to you you're not how you used to be and I told them I replied "you remember me as I was you don't know me now".

I've always been torn between the outgoing, talkive and the introvert contemplation sides of my personality. I've tried to balance those two sides for decades. Now, in old age and widowhood, at the age of nearly 75, I just can't be involved with others, even when I desperately need help, sometimes. Losing my lifelong love has been very difficult but I am finding my own ways to live on without making things too difficult. I'd love just one friend to talk to, though... they could take me for groceries and endure my never ending gratitude.

In our case every one died we were associated with. Only social life is a weekly small casino visit during the week days to avoid big crowds.

You have done it again! This is 100% what I have been doing for the last two years, I didn’t understand what it meant and blamed it on BP depression. Currently in psychotherapy to deal with this issue 😢😢. Thank you for sharing this, maybe I’m not broken at all.

I do not see myself as smart, just sensitive to negativity and inauthenticity that's all... Solitude is addictive

I feel alone among the wrong crowds of people and when people feel my absence it makes me feel alive. Too many people have a misunderstanding about one another.
