Such a sad state we are in. India walked out of the PAK FA (SU-57) program because the IAF didn't like it, and now we are going to buy it because we are out of options. I hope India is never in a similar situation again, ever.

Loved to listen to the absolutely straight forward, no nonsense words of Vishnu.<br><br>I think in someway or the other, we have got to include our private defense players to sit together and discuss and possibly carve out a way for the next gen aircraft production here in India (which is extremely difficult at this point of time).

One’s defense is guaranteed by being a super power in true sense. Not just having fighters. One cannot be a superpower by subsidizing others’ projects, instead of learning to build. China is not buying their stuff from elsewhere. They are where they are as they paid the price for a decade and went through the hardship of learning how to build. That’s what India needs to do.
