Bro said it best: Gordon gets mad when people claim to be able to cook and fuck everything up. He's very sweet to kids because they're still learning, but he expects adults to know something about cooking when they claim to.

"What if we find out this is store bought?"
Foreshadowing is a literary device that writers use to hint at future plot developments

Amy: "I believe that once Chef Ramsay tastes my food, as a chef he'll be able to tell that this is what God wants me to do."
God: "The opposite actually."

Dishwasher in Vegas here. 86 means "Don't sell, it's not available, tell customers who ask about it." Basically.

ramsey is actually a very polite guy, he's just got low tolerance for ego's when it comes to cooking, and is very harsh and passionate when working in the actual kitchen. he's really nice to his staff, respects all workers from owners to waitresses, and even has a kids version of hells kitchen where he's extremely kinder for obvious reasons.

hell's kitchen is kind of a boot camp show, so his personality there isn't really "Genuine" its just like how boot camps work.

Amy's Baking Company is arguably the most famous episode of KN.

Cliff Notes of what I remember from the aftermath from this episode (someone else might do the full lore dump):
* It later came to light that the baked goods from the front display case that Gordon liked were purchased wholesale from another bakery.
* Sammy has been deported multiple times due to an extensive criminal history (how he ended up able to afford a "playboy in Vegas" lifestyle and then dumping $1M into a restaurant for someone with no prior culinary experience.)
* Amy attempted at least a couple other (failed) restaurants after ABC.
* Amy and Sammy attempted lawsuits against the show for defamation. There was a unique follow-up episode where the owners attempt to contend that the show edited them out of context via an interview with one of the show's producers (iirc), but only served to further demonstrate their insanity and short fuses against the calm and reasonable interviewer.

They really went from one of the tamer episodes to one of the craziest.

Im glad you never experienced your parents yelling at each other, but awkwardness is the last thing you feel, especially as a child. My personal experience was a lot of terror and paranoia, even if they werent yelling about you, in the back of your head, you'd be constantly worried if it was you that was partially responsible for the fights.
