What has helped me is I probe Back to the needle right at the beginning of insertion. I see the hypogenic image first, then I slowly probe towards the tip until it disappears and I keep going from there.

The problem is that in real patients US image looks nothing like in video. it looks like a total mess of lines, static, rolled dehydrated tiny veins, and almost never needle tips light up like that in this video. 99% of time you can't see needle tip and are navigating blindly based on some vague shadow from needle. On top of it patients never stay still, their arms are all jelly like or swollen/fat or both.
