Key Points to Remember After You Watch The Video. (Thank Me Later):
1. We do not just look at the world like a camera. Instead, our brains are busy guessing what is out there to create the world we see (01:47).

2. Perception is like a controlled hallucination. Our brain uses information from our senses to make its best guess about reality (07:22).

3. Because our brains guess, we never see the world exactly as it is. We see it in a way that helps us survive (09:37).

4. Optical illusions are useful because they show us how our brains work. They prove that what we see depends on the context, not just the light hitting our eyes (13:25).

5. Everyone has a slightly different inner world. This is why we should practice being humble because other people might experience the same thing differently (16:42).

6. The Perception Census study showed that everyone perceives things like color or time differently. This variability is a natural part of how living things work (19:34).

7. Our brains hold onto prior expectations to help us make sense of the world. We cannot simply get rid of these beliefs because they are necessary for us to function (27:36).

8. Memory is not just what we remember from yesterday. The way our brains are structured is a type of long-term memory shaped by evolution to help us recognize things like faces (29:17).

9. Consciousness is basically the feeling of being alive. If it feels like something to be you, you are conscious (33:19).

10. There are states where the boundary between yourself and the world can fade away. This suggests that the first person perspective is not fixed (38:15).

11. We must be careful about using our own experiences to define reality. Our experiences show us our own biases rather than the fundamental nature of the universe (41:51).

12. Psychedelics can make the brain feel like it is seeing a deeper truth. However, this happens when the normal survival prediction system is turned off (50:31).

13. We define consciousness as an organism having an experience. If there is something it is like to be that thing, then it is conscious (1:03:47).

14. Animals like cats and dogs are likely conscious because their brains are similar to ours in important ways (1:07:25).

15. Trees are alive but probably not conscious. They lack a nervous system and do not face the same survival challenges as moving animals (1:10:53).

16. Panpsychism suggests that everything has consciousness, but this view does not explain how things function or behave (1:17:27).

17. Materialism is a very successful way of explaining how the world works. It has demystified many things that once seemed magical (1:21:09).

18. We should not confuse intelligence with consciousness. Current AI is very smart at using language but does not have a biological body or feelings (1:34:23).

19. Treating AI as if it is a person is dangerous. We should think of AI as a useful tool rather than a colleague (1:38:17).

20. The sense of self is not a permanent object but a process. Being less attached to this fixed self can help reduce personal suffering (1:57:34).

I hope I can get to 1 million subscribers soon. 💪💪💪

Using neurons and physics to explain consciousness is like using characters in a video game to explain the computer running it. If perception is just a controlled hallucination, then your physical brain is just another rendered graphic inside that hallucination. Renaming the sensory stream a prediction machine does not explain consciousness. It just pacifies the observer into admiring the artwork instead of questioning the projector.

Sometimes I'm a little bit surprised how people fail to fully grasp or understand why someone would want to live triple their lifespan or potentially forever. It's the same as one's need and want to live a safe, fulfilling life with things they desire, things they see point in. And if someone is so fascinated with the universe and exploring the universe, exploring future technologies that will come in the next 100, 200, 300 years, being able to live to see that and be part of that, it's just a normal thing to want.

Copernicus proved the Earth wasn't the center. Everyone was looking at heavens backwards, the earth revolved around the sun not the other way round. What if physical life is the same error — the body isn't the primary reality, it's secondary to the before and after. Consciousness is the constant. There is no death. You just respawn. No start, no end, just momentum.

We may have died in other realities, we just continue living in the reality that we didn’t yet.

As everyone is connected and create a mutual reality together, this world is real for all of us until we all decide otherwise simultaneously. So, changing perceptions do not change much for individuals. Don’t torture yourself or get confused or disconnected from life. It is the reality you decided to experience. Experience to the fullest.
