1978年我国改革开放，1979年李光耀在新加坡提出了“讲华语运动”，全国开始推广华语，多么高瞻远瞩啊！他的中文是那之后开始学的，老师是新加坡国立大学的教授。

国外呆了这么多年, 真的已经完全转为精英主义的拥护者了.<br>我觉得社会发展还是要靠少部分精英, 有远见, 有领导力的人才行.<br>新家坡做的好的是廉洁, 我觉得这个才是最主要的. <br>精英主义外加廉洁廉政, 我觉得这样的地方不会太差.

李光耀不但會說中文..他還會說閩南話.<br>多年前李光耀訪問台灣 當時蔣經國還在世親自陪同去金門參觀<br>結果李光耀當場用閩南話與當地農民聊天.<br>這讓蔣經國相當驚訝.
