Ironic isn’t it ? Athens mocked Sparta for raising their people to be warriors instead of scholars like they were. Yet when the Persians came Athens was destroyed while Sparta held on and fought back. <br><br>It just goes to show that a society needs both and that peace can’t be held without a show of force to protect it.

Everyone knows how Leonidas died. Almost no one knows how Sparta made Persia pay for it. This video fills the gap that Hollywood never bothered to tell — and does it better than any movie could. 1 hour 20 minutes of pure historical justice. Absolutely phenomenal work. 🔥

Ft Myers Florida!! This reminds me of back in the day when PBS NOVA would come on at night when I was young and sitting in front of the tv glued trying to savor every bit of ancient history documentaries!!

I'm so incredibly happy I found this channel. I love history so much but not the sugar coated sweet stuff, the true, dark and ugly. I was the odd ball who fell asleep to civil war documentaries at night and knew the most off the cuff stuff the next day in class.
