  Thanks so much for the update! These are my favourite enclosures too. I've got a few Lasius flavus colonies that live underground and only come to the surface for nuptial flights. I want to recreate their natural nests as closely as possible, and am growing fusca grass, which they live under in the wild, and hope to introduce root aphids as well, which is where they get all their sugars in the wild. I'm very inspired by your project (and lots of your other projects as well) thanks!!

  plants with trunk (wood) have very strong roots that will probably push up nests and brake walls. you should test other types of plants.
