I am not a medical professional. This video is purely about my personal experience with PCOS, hormonal health, mental health, and my cyst surgery journey. Please consult your own doctor before making any medical decisions. Every body is different.

Over the years, I consulted around 5–6 doctors. Most of them prescribed birth control pills. I completely respect that birth control helps many women manage symptoms, but in my personal case, I felt I was not being guided toward understanding the root cause of my condition. That is why I chose not to rely on birth control as the only solution and explored other approaches under proper medical supervision.

Regarding my piercing my current doctor was fully aware of it and advised me to wait until it healed properly before proceeding further. A fresh piercing is essentially a wound and can increase infection risk, especially before surgery. That is why I waited for nearly two months. It was a medical precaution, not negligence.

For clarity about my cyst I was diagnosed with a complex ovarian dermoid cyst measuring approximately 15 x 13 cm. Due to its size and complexity, I opted for an open abdominal surgery (similar to a C-section incision but done vertically and slightly larger). My right ovary was removed during cyst removal surgery.

Yes, pregnancy is still absolutely possible with one healthy ovary. I still have my left ovary. However, proper healing and post-surgical recovery are extremely important, and I am prioritizing that before planning anything further.

I also want to address mental health. When I use the word “body dysmorphia,” I use it honestly. Years of comments about my body deeply affected me mentally. I sought therapy, and I am not ashamed of that. Therapy has helped me tremendously. I also deal with anxiety, and prioritizing mental health has been a crucial part of my healing journey.

This video is not meant to trigger, blame, or invalidate anyone’s experience. It is simply my story. What worked or didn’t work for me may not apply to you. Please seek proper medical and mental health guidance tailored to your own case.

Thank you for listening with empathy. 🤍

I genuinely feel like gynaecologist appointments should be normalised, especially in our society! Like even as a gen-z, someone who is highly educated on these matters, I still feel shy to talk to my father about these matters or to tell him that we should have a gynaecologist appointment, even tho he's a pharmacist. Our society has made such a taboo about of periods, and this is not good.. this needs to change!

Firstly to all my girlies, I request you plz take care of your reproductive health. Suddenly i clicked this video and I could feel every single word of you didi. Let me share my story:-

I am a 12th class student, and my periods started when I was in 6th class. Mujhe ache se aate thay periods regularly, but haan kabhi kabhi skip hote thay but as you said everyone used to say ye tou normal hai aur pain moderate hoti thi na ziyada na kam. In july 2023 suddenly I got fever, headache and pain in abdomen. I took some medicine but I couldn't see any difference. It continued for 2 to 3 days. After this I got severe stomach pain and abdominal pain and I was admitted in a local hospital. They just gave me some injections and I got some relief. After coming back home I again got the same pain and I had to go to hospital at 2 am/3 am . I used to vomit everything. After this doctor told me to do the USG. The reports showed that I was having a big haemorrhorgic cyst on my left ovary and the ovary had twisted on its ligament which used to cause unbearable pain (I was having left Ovarian torsion). Due to this twist blood flow to the ovary had stopped and ovary had become entirely dark in colour. Due to the delay in treatment, this haemorrhorgic cyst had bursted and the blood and fluid had accumulated in my pelvic cavity. Dr said ki iski surgery within 24 hours honi chahiye. I was done with laproscopic surgery for 3 hours in which my left ovary along with that cyst was removed. When I came out from OT I saw the dark pieces of ovary and the cyst. Same aapki tarah doctor said ki right ovary is healthy and I will be able to conceive with that in future. Now I get periods regularly alhamdulillah, I do check my right ovary and after every 2/3 moths I do the USG. Today I am in 12th class and looking back i literally cry when I realise that how strong I was at that time being a 10th class kid. Despite all this, I believe that Allah is the best of planners and he has written the best for me. We just need to be patient. So didu being your younger sister I tell you that life is more beautiful than we think, and these tough phases teach us a lot of things. Be patient, take care of your health and you will be having the best time ahead (In Shaa Allah)

For those who do not know, dermoid cyst is a benign lesion of ovary which occurs from germ cells and the reason she did not show the cyst is because it really looks very disgusting. Now germ cells are something which can literally make any kind of tissues in parts of your body which are not supposed to be there. So the cyst in the ovaries may contain all the unimaginable stuffs like teeth, hair(like legit long hair), nails and would definitely freak the shit out of someone who’s not into medical field. I’m so proud of her ❤ love you mrunu ❤

This is why we should never judge or troll anyone. We don’t know how it can affect someone’s mental state. More power to you girl. ❤
