❌Blurring historical documentaries is absolutely ABSURD. People need to fully grasp the horrors of war and how important it is we do everything to avoid it. How is the new generation of young minds supposed to get the full picture if every documentary is censored and edited?

A lot of young people go to YouTube and watch documentaries to gain some understanding of past wars. Let them see its true terrors in HD uncensored. That way their young minds are perhaps less inclined to think war is a “glorious” event like Hollywood and the military industrial complex would have them believe.

I was born in the late 1950s. I was a child in the 1960s and coming of age in the 1970s. My parents shielded me from a knowing about a lot of this while it was happening. I still remember my mother crying when Kennedy was assassinated and when my dad came home from work he also cried and said “what are we going to do now”!

It’s funny how I remember the happy moments and good times. Most of the family I had back then are deceased now (mom is still here). I reminisce about “the good ole days” seemingly forgotten how precarious life was back then!

Thanks for the reminder of how much awesome history I have been a witness to. Thank God for life! 🙏🏽

Being born in 60 most of my young life was always flanked by the possibility of nuclear war. But amazingly it really wasn’t something that I felt was damaging. To many other things to keep active

OMG the sheer idiocy of the hype over the “neutron” bomb was one of the great tragedies in our modern times. Its mythos lives on as a weapon meant to only kill people, whilst (perfectly) preserving infrastructure was so base. It was never meant to be used on or anyone near civilian populations. But it was likely the only way to assure NATO could survive massed Soviet armor formations that would’ve handily erased the token resistance that alliance might offer. And then, the only purpose of that deleting tactic was to prepare and strategize out all our nuke response anyways.
