  I respect your effort in repairing the vise, and what caught my attention most was that you showed us the mistakes people make when repairing the tool with readily available tools in a regular workshop, unlike what I saw on YouTube where they use very advanced and expensive tools that only the wealthy and business owners can afford.

  I enjoyed your comment about using the condition of this vise to buy the 20 ton press. I did the exact thing for an old Craftsman with a bent slide! 🤣

  Wow! &nbsp; You did a wonderful job on that mess of scrap iron ( vise ) ! &nbsp; I don&apos;t know what else could have been wrong to start. &nbsp;That hyd press will come in handy much more often than you might think.

  The metal will still be fatigued where the straightening and repairs have taken place.
