How to make

French toast

Ingredients
2-3 large eggs
1/2 cup milk or cream
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4-6 slices of bread (stale bread works well)
Butter for cooking
Instructions
Prepare the custard: In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon (if using), and vanilla extract until well combined.
Soak the bread: Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
Cook the French toast:
Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Melt a tablespoon of butter in the hot pan.
Place the soaked bread slices in the pan, ensuring they don't overcrowd the pan.
Cook for 1-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Repeat with remaining bread slices, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
Serve: Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as powdered sugar, maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
Tips
Don't over-soak the bread, especially if using thinner slices, to prevent it from becoming soggy.
Adjust the heat as needed to prevent burning and ensure even cooking.
Experiment with different spices, like nutmeg or cardamom, for added flavor.
Enjoy your homemade French toast
