place a piece of wood etc under the material to cut so you can cut all the way through with the cmc and save a lot of post processing time " don't forget to leave a couple tabs per party so they don't fly out " , spray a little mineral oil on it while cutting and have excellent finish surfaces

That has to be the best hobby CNC for the money on the market. I have the Pro model exact same but it doesn't have linear bearings like the ULTRA does, Got it years ago still works perfect but I did upgrade the offline controller.

Some .. Any PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) can go a long way. One metallic shaving in your hand is a truly painful splinter; one in your eye can change your life. The enclosure is a great idea, as I have heard that when the bits break, they can fly in random directions at incredible speeds.

Nice work, I have the same machine but the 3020 model. I am looking at the extension for it to make it a 2040 but I haven't found it yet. great video and thanks for sharing the feeds & speeds!

The very very first upgrade for this machine is a dustproof enclosure for the power supply and controller. Aluminium dust will get *everywhere*. Speaking from experience with an open frame CNC router at work.

Great video, first video I've seen push it to it's limits with aluminum.

Considering this as a starter machine for engraving wood.

Use different endmill with DLC coating .. it will cut little bit better ... the aluminum will not stuck to it so it is causing less resistance while cutting ..
