The freshness, quality, and pride taken in the preparation is what make the food so delicious. Unfortunately, most of our food in the U. S. are frozen and that eliminates the sweetness in food.

I had some of the most magical food in Japan when I visited Hokkaido in 2023. So sad that you didn't get the chance to try the genghis khan lamb bbq in Sapporo. I had the most amazing salt cured lamb bbq.... it was the best lamb I've ever had, not even close! You should also visit Hakodate one day. They have a great morning seafood market!!!
