The amount of outfit per frame in that documentary is quite something

I do feel bad for the dude - seems like a legitimately nice dude but yeah, meeting Archspire and then basically immediately going into a studio with Dave is fuckin HUGE

This type of story would have gone absolutely gangbusters on VH1's Behind The Music back in the day.

I'm only 15min in and I'm like "Why the fuck didn't you at least jam once with the guy or even just see him play live in the same room?!"
It's a tough watch

The guys were very classy the way they handled it. I can't imagine how the drummer himself must've felt, the insane high of being chosen. Then the crash as the realization hits that he is unable to play this stuff at the time and gets sent home right away.

This was a really cool watch.

This was crazy. I am so glad they pulled through and managed to make an awesome album.

I didn’t realize this was your reaction to this at first. What an important breakdown tbh. There’s a lot to understand here and many people haven’t been in these shoes before to break it down.

I just don’t get why they didn’t have at least one rehearsal with the new drummer prior to tracking? Video audition is one thing, but you need to play at least once with the band in one room before you decide to choose somebody new, but maybe I missed something 😮
