The question is built in a way that you're either homophobic, or misogynistic with your pick, and a neglectful parent in both cases. If i get a son thats gay, i love him regardless. If i get a daughter that turns to doing that kind of stuff, I'll make sure it's safe for her; if it's problematic, I'll help her work out her problems and I'll love her regardless

It genuinely seems like this dilemma only makes sense if you're super homophobic, because that's the only way I can see someone treating both outcomes as anywhere close to equally bad.

Also the issue of STDs on both sides is partially an issue of how sex is taboo and not properly explained by parents

Homophobia and misogyny is the entire question. The idea is a gay son is bad because its suppose to be 'embarrassing' and it makes your son not a 'real man' and a thot daughter is equally embarrassing because it's against what a women 'should be'.
