  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhFO6aUqmJs&amp;t=1622">27:02</a> Regarding the ATC coming through on the intercom I think I have an idea of what happened there: <br>One of the pilots likely selected the intercom to announce something like &quot;Cabin crew ready for departure&quot; and accidentally left it on the intercom. The ATC-Audio we can hear is likely from the loud speakers in the cockpit and picked up through the mic and transmitted into the intercom. &gt; Because of that the pilot likely sounds so much louder then the atc.<br>As the pilot turned down to check the departure frequency they were just given they noticed that the audio panel was set to intercom, hence the sudden cutoff as they were reading back the clearance.

  I would say Oman Air is very underrated. I hope some day they will expand to more destinations like Japan and Australia.

  Another addition: Omani people are incredibly warm and wonderful. I really enjoy my visit to Oman, and look for to visiting again during the cooler months.

  Just want to say it one time, you mention it in this video even though you don&apos;t actually do it in Oman, but I GREATLY appreciate your consistent effort to take public transit to the airport where it&apos;s available. This is something most flight reviewers don&apos;t do, and I think something more regular travellers would want to do but sometimes navigating trains and buses in foreign countries can present a major challenge when an Uber is just a few taps away in most of the world. Though the transit option will often be much cheaper (though more so if travelling alone) and still competitively quick especially in places that run airport express trains. Please continue to showcase it!

  David, I have been a subscriber for a long time and your one of the few reviewers that are actually worth to watch and I know this isn&apos;t the first time an airline funded your ticket but my problem is since they paid for the ticket so they know exactly when you are going to fly so obviously they will make sure everything is perfect and give you the best crew so now this review MIGHT not be an accurate representation of their product that people will be served when they fly with them. Still an excellent review as always just wanted to let you know my opinion.

  I used Oman Air via Qatar Airways wet leased jets thereof. I had their business class hard product on their A330s. Oman Air is an underrated gem- one day I hope to try the traditional cuisine you got to enjoy.

  I live in Dubai, refuse to pay Emirates prices, when I fly East I try to fly Oman Air, if west, Saudia. Both at worst half the price of EK, and only an hour or so longer.<br>Oman Air, and Oman as a Country and a people, are all brilliant.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhFO6aUqmJs&amp;t=1913">31:53</a> - I feel this is an unjustified criticism towards Oman Air as I feel this is more a Google Flights issue than it is Oman Air. You have the same issue with Google Flights not differentiating (by default settings) between budget airlines whose lowest price is just carry-on and other airlines who include checked luggage. If you include the premium add-in for checked bags that budget airlines charge, the budget airline can often end up to be more expensive. I know this and can factor it in but many people will not see pass this and in turn, literally book a worse quality flight for more money. Another example is the reverse in AirAsiaX&apos;s premium flat-bed being classified as &apos;business class&apos; when it really isn&apos;t in the general understanding of the concept vs other carriers.

  We traveled two months ago from Ams to Bkk with a stopover in Muscat and back. In total, I had three flights in economy and one like you from Mct to Bkk in business class. In my opinion, Oman Air is not at the same level as other Middle Eastern or Asian airlines such as Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Singapore, or Turkish Airlines. It wasn’t terrible, but far from perfect.<br><br>The food was average, with small portions. There were usually only two options, and on one occasion, one option had already run out. In business class, I was only served a starter and dessert—the main course was forgotten. I didn’t complain because I preferred to sleep, but on other airlines they usually ask when you’d like your meal. With Oman Air, everything was served immediately. And we didn&apos;t got a amenity kit.<br><br>In economy, I pressed the call button about 20 times but no one ever came. That was a major issue for me. The service felt very low, and there seemed to be fewer attendants than on other airlines. Everything took a long time.<br><br>For me, I would only fly Oman Air again if the price was a real bargain. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>I do believe that you, as a reviewer, are objective and neutral, but the problem is that they know you are reviewing them. So they will polish everything up to give you the best possible service, which they certainly did not do for us.
