  This is a great story, but I built my life differently. I refused to drive an old beat up car, but that didn't mean I bought the top of the range other. I still wore designer but wasn't a slave to it (weekends only for eg). I'm 44 and have done well. Multiple properties, own a supercar etc. My point is that you must balance this life thing. The journey doesn't have to read like some nobilty of struggle. You can genuinely do both, but that requires utmost honesty with yourself. The fun must be in the journey, not a mystical destination. You could die at anytime and all that sacrifice will come to naught.

  Good concept but the numbers are heavily inflated. You aren’t growing investment account to over 400k in six years with a 350 a month contribution. Especially if you are withdrawing from it to pay for expenses, cars etc.
