  Correction: in Ugly Love, they were talking about the balls, not the penis. I never read nor will read that book, but the line "We both laugh at our son's big balls" is forever seared into my brain. It single-handedly motivates me to be a writer, because if a line THAT bad made it into a mainstream book, then surely i have a chance.

  The Midnight Library is genuinely the stupidest book I have read. Not only is being a wife the only cure to depression, but the author also makes it seem like her being scared of seeing the polar bear or whatever it was is a sign she's no longer suicidal??? maybe she just doesnt wanna be mauled to death actually?? just a whole waste of my time

  My biggest single issue with ToG is the fact that this widely acclaimed assassin is disgusted by 500 soldiers dying. Someone who undoubtedly kills people for money, upset to the point of basically gagging, that 500 soldiers died in war...

  You nailed it with your take on erotica. One of the most moving romance stories I've ever read has ~75% of its word count dedicated to smut and that's a lowball estimate. As a survivor of SA, the themes of overcoming trauma-induced fear and bitterness by finding true love brought me to tears. It handled its sensitive subject matter with the grace and respect that TikSlop can't seem to manage. It's not going to be everyone's proverbial cup of tea but I loved this book. I bought the 144kb epub file for 99 cents from an independent storefront. On a related note, the fact that the first ACOTAR ebook still retails for $15 in 2026 CE is downright criminal.
