  In high school I received the "Weepy Willy Award" for the worst editorial ever written.  At almost 85 years of age, after a long career of teaching and tutoring English, I remain grateful to the man who made my editorial submission bleed with red ink.  Thank you for your reminder of an incident similar to the ones you shared.

  And this is the reason record numbers of people are converting or returning to the Church: we are seeing real resistance to Christianity and people are becoming serious about defending and participating in their faith.

  I love this sermon! Jesus always had to make use of a teachable moment. It wasn&apos;t just for this woman&apos;s sake but for all the people who were around watching listening. If God gives us whatever we want whenever we want, there is no resistance. There is no spiritual growth in that. In fact, when parents do that for children, they become spoiled and entitled. <br>Jesus was challenging her and all of us to go deeper in our faith in our requests and ultimately in our understanding of who He really is and who the Father is.

  Had a meltdown the other day over a stupid appliance repair. I had prayed/ petitioned for God’s help to get through this thing and &nbsp;like the Syro-Phoenician woman I hit just about every wall. Lost my temper, took it out on God, so forth… the next day I had it working, and came across this sermon from Bishop Barron…<br><br>Talk about a timely sermon. The Lord was trying to make me more patient, more capable of fixing things, and I failed Him.<br><br>‘Oh you of little faith…’ It’s time to get back up, and begin again.
