Let me see in 1974, my parents were 27, had a 3 bedroom bungalow with garden front and back, two cars, colour TV, summer holiday in France and two kids on one salary. Yes please, lets go back to the 70's.

Do you really think that Burnham would have been plucked from Manchester, slapped into Makerfield, elected and installed as leader of the Labour party if he was Starmer 2.0?<br>Did you notice how quickly and how smoothly it all happened? It is, indeed, a very patchy recollection of history. The ingredients have been selected by Burnham for another disastrous stab at a quasi control economy by Labour. The outcome is not in doubt, and it will not be pretty.

Hm! Where you listening to the same speech? Incredibly biased opinions based on outdated interpretation of historical events with little relevance to the context of today and the usual misrepresentation of antizionism as antisemitism . We are the only advanced economy that has privatised our water industry, and one of the very few that has privatised the grid. In both cases this has been little short of disastrous. Other economies have followed the Thatcher lead on, e.g. the railways and are now regretting their folly.
