Binder clip may seem obvious but as someone just starting I appreciate the mention.

I’m embarrassed to say but I have been using Field Notes for decades and never thought of any of these hacks. Even the binder clip thing—thanks for the great info here and new ways of journaling and overall note taking in general. 👍

Well you could always use that see-through translucent Packers tape instead of the glow in the dark tape.

I love these! The double pen loop is genius. My hack is to add a pocket inside either the front or back cover (piece of notecard, cut to size, tape along two sides into a corner). I use it to keep some small 1x2 notecards, used for bookmarks, quotes I’m trying to memorize, etc.

Those magnetic book darts would be great for novel reading too as sometimes the text is small and you don't wanna repeat the page you read you can position it to a sentence (it's good for micro reading like while waiting for a bus, train, queues).

I have a little sticky clear pocket I add to the back inside cover. It can fit that stencil inside, but I like to keep a Polaroid photo in it.

Just use clear packing tape to reinforce

I enjoy their DDC Stuff Sheath, which solves a lot of problems at once with a beautiful item. My notebook is folded over to the current page inside the sheath, which holds pens and keeps everything protected.

Thank you very much for your work and for this interesting video.

I think you might be able to use the ruler as a bookmark, using the half circle as the part you separate with pages.

I LOVE the double pen loop hack - thanks for that! <br><br>I'm intrigued by how digital and analog notes can borrow from each other. My hack, if it deserves that label, is to bring tags to analog notebooks. My analog tags are simply words written in red ink, or some contrasting color, with a hashtag at the front. For example, some of my entries are about projects I want to do, so I add a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/proj">#PROJ</a> tag to both the Table of Contents and the appropriate page. It's not as powerful as digital tags, of course, but it is designed to be as scannable as possible.
