  As he began, I recognized the Bach piece and was drawn in...and then, &quot;Over The Rainbow&quot; started, and every part of me that had been moved by so many things recently, yet fought back the tears, suddenly had no defense to what I was hearing. It was a release I needed more than I realized, and his playing brought on the tears and emotions I&apos;ve needed and missed for so long. Thank you, Stephen and Mr. Ma for a much-needed reconnection to love and humanity. ❤🎵🎶❤

  I live in Bhutan.. &nbsp;Yo-Yo Ma gave a concert there last October and was also filming a short feature on Bhutanese culture and climate change.<br>I was able to meet him. &nbsp;So humble and kind. &nbsp;An absolutely wonderful human being of the highest order!

  I am delighted that Yo-Yo Ma was a guest again, and that he graciously played for everyone. He is indeed a gracious, generous, and incredible man and musician.<br><br>I first heard him and met him in 1978 when I was at university. My friend (a fellow student who was also a fine violinist) took me to the concert and we were able to go backstage because Ma was engaged to my friend&apos;s cousin. (And Mr. Ma is married to that friend&apos;s cousin still.) I started to study cello a few years later.<br><br>Yo-Yo Ma has been an important international musician and generous, insightful, and compassionate person for his whole life. We are all made more whole by listening to him play music of all kinds: classical Western music, music from the Silk Road all across Asia, music from the US folk traditions, jazz, improvisation, music for dancing and contemplation. We were all blessed.
