I've said it before. You are the best deadlift teacher on the YT. I never skip a video.

Wax on, wax off. Paint the fence. Paint the house. Spray the wall. Come back tomorrow. Kudos to you guys when exhibiting the wrong form. That's not easy to do after years of doing it right.

Agree with all except that rounding the upper back (NOT lower) can actually be a very good strategy to shorten the moment arm for the hip by shortening the distance between the bar and the hips, making the initial pull easier. It will make lockout slightly harder but most people struggle off the floor anyways. Many advanced deadlifters and strongman competitors do this. Alex Bromley talks about this in depth on his channel.

One tip i have after more than 10 years of deadlifting is, try not to look directly in the mirror infront of you so you stretch your neck. This will affect also the position of your pelvis.

Same thing with squatting in the lowest position

Thanks for the tips. I’m new to lifting (2 months) and have been lifting around my knees. I corrected this yesterday and it feels much more stable. Thanks again, I appreciate your time.
Subscribed
Cheers

I like to use a standard grip with my warm-up sets; really with everything before my heavy (2-4 rep) sets. It’s a good grip workout.
