In every hand to hand battle, only 2% of soldiers actually fight. Just like any animal, we know that walking away is the better survival strategy.

The dual brain kill switches make sense. A bit like how a lion roars to scare of rival lions, but not while hunting (unless it's part of the hunting tactic, but anyway) different types of violence. Probably why the emotionless gaze of a psychopath is scarier than the chest thumping tough guy

Humans evolved to be the apex predator in the planet, and even a predator to it's own kind. We have known this for ages. That's literally one of the things we excel at

Love all the expert comments that try to minimize our talent and disposition for killing. We are hunters as well as farmers. For all the Hollywood portrayals of the "highly trained killer," those are nothing more than the ones who have specialized and been trained in advanced techniques to defeat basic fight responses among other humans. Every human alive is already an efficient killer when need or immediate survival overcomes social conditioning. A dire enough threat will trigger that fight response when flight becomes impossible. That response may be uncoordinated or irrational, but against an opponent untrained in proper response, it can be effective and deadly. You'd be amazed at what your body can do when flooded with adrenaline.

A man with ALS, with help from his father, created a way to communicate with nothing but eye movements. Laughter, anger, joy. All have an eye movement. Fascinating

Narcissists use the "predator mode" on other humans all of the time, but just for what they can get out of another.

Im not sure, how scientifically correct this information is bur for the segment on Throwing we actually did specifically evolve the ability to throw harder for the purpose of long range hunting and defense, we use our entire body when we throw something which is why we are able to generate such high speeds, your legs, waist, and core generate power from rotation and our arms are able to bend at the joints, our shoulders act as a slingshot/bow almost, holding tension until the snap/throw.

It's also why when you fight you learn to use your hips to generate force.

Basically, we eventually got smart enough to realize that we’re so dangerous that we cause ourselves a lot of problems. So then we made laws to try and stop ourselves from killing each other and the environment so much.
We were not always this smart. We were not always restrained.
Sometimes we still aren’t.
