Saying "Ape man" is like saying, "Bird duck", right?

The most recent ancestors of the peacock are, of course, the chicken and the pea. It's all in the name.

I am a writer for NewCreation and I thank you for the (somewhat) positive coverage. At the very least, thanks for not grouping all creationists in with AiG, some of us are not at all happy with their beliefs and methodology. I enjoyed this watch!

the beauty of arguments like the Heat Argument is that even when YECs concede to a miracle, they're not out of the woods, because all these miracles making the geologic column and other evidence the way it is (i.e. very parsimonious with great age) you still have a deceptive god, which tends to be a problem for these sorts of people

Honestly I think it’s good for the creationist community, because by encouraging curiosity about science they’re both more likely to stop being creationist and (more importantly imo) more likely to believe in science in general and not become antivaxxers, climate change deniers, etc.

I’m gonna make a prediction: their style of creationism is going to become the most common, and then creationists are gonna act like this is what they’ve always believed.

The hominin fossil record is a great one. I took archaeology 101 and in the brief one class lecture on it, it became clear that the antievolution "debunks" held zero water. I remember sitting there at the beginning of the lecture thinking, "might as well listen and see how it compares to what I was taught growing up", and by the end, I was like, "oh. So there is a reason scientists pretty much universally agree on this."
