  I am an international student in us. My dream is that people who live in this earth keep having confidence by themselves and feel like happy. That is why i became student of us from Japan. I hope all the people will work together to create a hopeful future for our children, grandchildren....

A star hovered in her palms as she showed the curious child the young soul. It floated away, like a leaf sprung from its mother tree, to the portal that showed the universe in its splendor. <br><br>&quot;Where life came to,&quot; another voice, warm and lively appeared with them. He materialized with brightness, of sun touch skin and warmth of sunlight. Unlike Death who hovered in the universe, untouched. Life graze upon the stars, connected to them. His unsteady eyes reflected on the gates, &quot;Where the mortals ran rampant with their pride, the worlds full of beauty, and magic roams freely.&quot; <br><br>&quot;I wish to join them,&quot; the child said to her parents. Eyes glued to what beyond the gates lie. <br><br>Death hummed in thought. For she, like her husband, has seen the mortal realm in its darkest. Where tempation birth sin... pain... and with it, virtue.<br><br>Life warned the child, &quot;Beyond there, fate decides your well-being.&quot; &nbsp;<br><br>Death continued, &quot;Your will shall end tragically.&quot; <br><br>&quot;Or it may not,&quot; the child told Death and Life as she held both their hands. &quot;Won&apos;t it be worth it?&quot;<br><br>&quot;That shall be yours to decide,&quot; Life answered. Death held the child to her embrace. <br><br>A gentle smile on her lips as she whispered the child&apos;s name, &quot;Vow.&quot; Vow turned her head to her mother.   Hiroyuki Sawano is hands down one of the best anime composers out there, from Seven Deadly Sins to Aldnoah Zero. He deserves more money.

  <i>Long ago they say gates connected the lands, that you could travel between these gates and reach the different lands in seconds. Of course, those are just legends... Now. We know there are no other lands besides our own...</i><br><br><i>Our land may be small but that’s ok with us. Each day is lived to the fullest, no one has any regrets here... well, almost.</i><br><br><i>My friend claims that the lands we read about in our books are real, along with the special gates. She said her father taught her that before he passed...</i><br><br><i>She seemed determined to figure out how to open one of these gates and travel to a different land...</i> “But what’s the point of doing that?” My Blue eyes staring at her brown eyes with an annoyed expression. “There’s nothing we could possibly need in those lands.” She replied, her eyes burning with conviction. “Are you sure? There’s no way to tell, not unless we try.” This was after many other times of trying to convince each other we were right.<br><br>I replied. “If you can find a reason, I’ll help you with this... ok?” Her eyes lit up and a smile crossed her face, her brown hair fell onto her face obscuring her vision as she stood. “You shouldn’t crouch on you toes like that while your wearing a dress, the back will get all dirty.” I remarked. “You sound like my mom” she said as she walked back into the main building we all lived in. “You coming?” She said as she turned around. “Yeah I’m right behind you...”<br><br><i>That was a three years ago, we were young then. She was thirteen and I was fourteen, she never found a real reason besides that she could prove the lands existed... of course I didn’t accept that as an answer, she always talked about it though... and then her reason came.</i><br><br><i>A sickness struck and our small town began to fade away, everyone slowly losing the strength to work. Strangely we were unaffected...</i> “Now we have to go!” She was holding back tears, her mother had just caught the sickness. “You’re right, we have no choice now... let’s try and open the gate.” <i>We spent weeks figuring out how to get this working. Pouring over her fathers old books and journals, eventually we figured it out. You needed someone of special blood to open it, and someone of normal blood to close it. If it remained open it would slowly become a black hole so it was important to close it quickly. The special blood was her family line...</i><br><br><i>The day came when we would open the gate. We walked together and I began to feel tired, I ignored it and continued walking with her. The plan was for her to open the gate and for us both to enter, having someone else close it behind us.</i><br><br>“Get ready! I’m opening the gate!” A crowd of people who could had gathered to see us off. We all watched in awe as the gate opened, revealing another land in the distance. You could see a castle from here... but then I collapsed.<br><br>“Are you ok? What’s wrong?” She worriedly began to examine me. Groaning I answered, “I’m fine, but I think I finally caught the sickness” I said it with a smile on my face to try and keep her from worrying too much. But she was holding back tears... “I can’t do this alone! Your supposed to come with me! I mean, we’ve always been together right? What happens if I fail? Everyone will-“ “You’ll be fine.” I said in a sharp voice, a look of determination in my eyes. “There’s no one else I’d rather put my trust in then you, not to mention my life.” She took a deep breath... “I’ll be back soon. Ok?” I answered. “I’m counting on it...”<br><br><i>I watched as she began to step into the gate, after she stepped through I closed it behind her, and all I could do now was wait and hope she finds a cure...</i><br><br>The Gate<br>A Short Story<br><br><br><br><br><br>Authors note.<br><br>Thanks for reading my story, I really love this song and decided to write something for it, if your curious I’m thinking of continuing the story. Having this be the prologue and having the girl be the narrator for the rest of it. But I’ll wait to see if this is actually enjoyed by anyone or not. I’d love to hear your opinions thoughts and ideas so if you want to I’ll reply to any messages this gets, I never know how to end these sooooo... The End?
