  I too picked up on the fact that Peter wasn’t really in peril if he acknowledged being associated with Jesus - it was just just unfashionable (then as now) &amp; he was afraid of being mocked. His other character weaknesses are forgetfulness &amp; talking even when he doesn’t know what he’s talking about (Mark 9:5-6).

  Somebody once asked, when they start arresting Christians in America if some one denounces you as one, will the judge be able to find enough evidence to conflict you or will he find the charges unfounded and let you go?

  I guess it&apos;s open for debate but I believe Jesus was saying Satan wanted to sift ALL the Apostles as wheat, not just Peter. <br><br>Luke 22:31-32<br>New International Version<br><br>31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.
