15:35 as a fellow Big Mom fan, when people say they like her, they usually mean they appreciate how well crafted and unique her character is. There genuinely is no one else like her in One Piece, from her powers, to her backstory, to how interesting her family is, and so on. People aren't fans of her cause they agree with her, but because she's well written

She's a complex and intriguing character. You fear her, but kinda feel for her when you learn her story, but then you feel more sorry for her kids. And the fights with ger are epic

20:07 Oda often (but not always) relates beauty/attractiveness with following dreams. Comic Drake talks about it in his One Piece video, but characters who follow their dreams and fight for what they believe in tend to age gracefully while characters that give up or twist their dreams they age very poorly.

"Is she eating people?" She's eating everything. When Big Mom's hunger hits, nothing is safe, unless it's really well-hidden.

Big Mom is probably one of the most unique villains in anime and her writing easily trumps Kaido

It's unfortunate that she ended up a victim of the narrative bc Wano had so much going on...

I think most of the times fandom enjoy certain characters, not because they have a positive and good personality but rather how fitting they are to their role and how well they are written. If a characters story and personality is so good written you get emotionally involved and thats what makes a lot of evil characters popular
