The majority of these "beginner" videos don't even mention the slicing software or external devices needed to 3d print. Like where do you make or get the files to 3d print? How do you "slice" and make these files compatible with the 3d printer? How do you get the files on the SD card or whatever it uses? How do you get the 3d printer to read these files? <br><br>There is so much more to 3d printing than "just plug & print."<br><br>So many of these "beginner" videos skip over the basics of how to 3d print.

Writing this on Jan 19, 2026. Received my P2S on Jan 11 this year and I've already gone through 3.5 rolls of 1 kg black PLA lol. I printed the Benchy, showed it to my wife and that was the end printing things for myself. For the past week, it's been 20 hours a day of printing things the wife wants around the house hahaha

I've spent so many years dealing with my ender 3 and probably wasted more filament than I used for actually making parts, I got a P1S for christmas and have already put 30 or so hours on it and used 3 spools of filament for it. Perfect timing to get it too, just in time to have a good way to make some storage boxes for screws

My library just got some 3d printers, so i am not so interested in picking one out, setting it up, etc but can you make a short video on going from a 3d-model to printing it ? Or tips about what 3dmodels wont work etc ? These are the tips that would be the most beneficial because they actually take time to experience rather than comparing spec sheets of printers

I had to smile when you said to NEVER let go of the filament end when working with a spool. I've done a lot of metalworking, and MIG welding wire is just like that, only MUCH stiffer. If MIG wire goes SPROING, you'll have a mess that's easier to throw away than it is to rewind. Another similarity between these technologies is cutting the wire or filament at an angle to fix several potential issues before they appear.

I remember my first 3d printer: The Ender 3v2. I upgraded it with bltouch 2. z axis direct drive extruder but it always was a hussle to print with it. Fast forward 2025 and I bought a Core One kit. Had a blast building it and learned quite alot in the process. And let me tell you those arent even in the same dimension.

Hey Stefan, can you do a video analyzing Polymaker's CoPE filament? It's supposed to be a copolyester-based filament that is very similar to PLA, but can be printed much quicker. Knowing it's layer adhesion/tensile strength and other properties would be super beneficial.

Planning to buy a bambu lab p1s combo, for printing abs, protecting filaments and that. This tutorial will be very useful

That is pretty much all of it 😅 throughly and completely for beginner! To be honest, i like the bambu lab A1 most and i have no issues printing with it… i chose it the main reason is print quality, definitely quick nozzle changing, and accessibility for cleaning or maintaining if needed

Great video! Did not see it in the video, so for those reading the comments, If your having print issues with infill, change it from Grid, its problematic at best! Gyroid is a good alternative.
